Smith's Abrasives traces back to 1886, when James Archer Smith began mining and selling Arkansas novaculite—the natural whetstone from the Ouachita Mountains near Hot Springs. The brand still specialises in sharpening, now covering natural Arkansas stones plus diamond, carbide, ceramic, and synthetic abrasives.
We stock selected Smith's lines for customers who want to keep knives, hooks, and garden tools sharp: bench stones, pocket diamond hones, pull-through sharpeners, precision kits, and field accessories.
Natural Arkansas stones and combination stones restore and refine edges on knives and tools. Pair them with Smith's premium honing solution for a consistent slurry. Diamond options include the 6-inch tri-hone bench set, 6-inch fine diamond benchstone, and 4-inch coarse diamond pocket stone for faster cutting on dull blades.
Replacement medium Arkansas stones and two-stone kits make it easy to restock a bench setup without buying a whole new system.
For quick touch-ups, choose pull-through models such as the Edge Pro and Impulse utility sharpener, or the 3-in-1 system that covers knives and tools in one unit. The Pack Pal combines a sharpener with a fire starter for outdoor kits.
Specialty lines include deluxe knife and hook sharpeners, diamond hook files, broadhead and arrow sharpeners, plus the Diamond-Arkansas precision sharpener and benchmount for controlled, repeatable angles. Browse the range above for bench, pocket, and field options.
