Coir peat, also known as coco peat or coco coir, is made from coconut husk fibre and is a renewable alternative to peat moss. It holds plenty of water while staying airy, rewets easily and has a near-neutral pH, making it ideal for seed raising, potting mixes, worm farms and hydroponic systems. Compressed bricks and blocks expand when soaked, so they are easy to store and transport. Blend coir with compost or perlite to create your own custom mix.
