Aqua Master Tools - S300 Pro 2 Handheld Digital Substrate pH & Temperature Meter – Heavy-Duty Soil, Coco, & Medium Penetration Probe
Achieve absolute control over your root-zone chemistry and eliminate the guesswork of soil testing with the Aqua Master Tools S300 Pro 2 Handheld Digital Substrate pH & Temperature Meter. Precision-engineered for commercial greenhouse growers, indoor vertical farmers, and professional agronomists, this premium handheld analyzer is specifically designed to measure acidity and temperature directly inside soft substrates, moist soil blends, coco coir matrices, and liquid nutrient solutions. Standard glass pocket pens are built exclusively for open water testing and will easily snap or crack if forced directly into compressed planting mediums. The S300 Pro 2 resolves this operational hazard by decoupling the heavy-duty spear-tipped pH electrode from the main digital housing, linking them via an extended, ultra-flexible 120cm connection cable. This durable design gives you the physical reach to sample ground beds, deep fabric pots, and elevated rockwool slabs with absolute ease. Upgraded with enhanced internal software, the S300 Pro 2 processes data faster and locks in precise, real-time measurements across a wide pH spectrum from 0.1 to 14.0 and thermal conditions from 0°C to 50°C. Setup is completely streamlined by a 2-point automatic calibration function calibrated for standard pH 4.0 and pH 7.0 reference buffers, doing away with manual turning pins and complex configuration loops. Arriving fully calibrated and ready to work with pre-installed batteries in a lightweight 158g frame, this field-ready kit features a modular, user-replaceable electrode socket that allows you to easily swap out worn or damaged probes down the road, ensuring long-term usability and maximizing your facility's equipment lifespan.
Best For: Direct root-zone testing in soil and coco coir mixes, measuring rockwool slab runoff, chemical telemetry in soft organic substrates, and mobile multi-zone facility inspections.

Advanced Substrate Conditioning & Nutrient Testing Tips
- Executing Direct Substrate Core Testing Safely: To lock in perfectly accurate root-zone readings without scratching or blinding the sensor, always ensure your substrate is thoroughly moist before pushing the probe tip into place. For compressed coco coir blocks or dense organic soils, use a clean metal spike or dibbler to create a small pilot pathway first, then gently slide the S300 Pro 2 spear probe down into the root core. This structural step shields the delicate glass sensing membrane from unnecessary physical grinding against hard pearlites or uncomposted wood bits.
- Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: Keeping your medium's chemical profile balanced allows your root network to absorb nutrients at peak efficiency. For the best structural airflow and fast nutrient uptake, pair your S300 Pro 2 measurements with a high-porosity 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. To keep moisture levels flawlessly uniform across large benches, feed your trays with a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump managed by an automated digital shot-timer.
- Maintaining the Detachable Electrode and Preventing Drift: The high-precision glass tip on the S300 Pro 2 sensor must never be allowed to dry out completely. After wrapping up your soil tests, thoroughly rinse the probe tip with fresh tap water or a specialized wash bottle to clear away clinging substrate dirt and sticky fertilizer salts. Slide the probe into its protective guard filled with a few drops of specialized 3M KCI Electrode Storage Solution before storing it away. Avoid wiping the tip with paper towels, as static charges can cause severe digital reading drift.
- Executing a Complete 2-Point Electronic Alignment: To maintain your S300 Pro 2 at peak factory precision, run a 2-point calibration check every two weeks. Dip the spear probe into a clean cup of pH 7.0 reference liquid, let the meter auto-stabilize, and lock in the neutral baseline. Rinse the tip with fresh water, then repeat the step inside a cup of pH 4.0 reference liquid to calibrate the acid range. Always discard your used testing fluids to keep your main calibration supply clean and unpolluted.
Ideal For (Uses)

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
