Description

Aqua One - Glass Tank Heater Series – Fully Submersible Automatic Reservoir Heaters

Maintain total control over your nutrient solution temperature with the Aqua One Glass Tank Heater Series. In sub-irrigated and hydroponic systems, cold reservoir water can shock delicate root zones, severely stunting plant growth, locking out vital nutrients, and reducing oxygen absorption rates. These high-quality, highly economical glass heaters provide the ultimate shield against seasonal drops. Engineered with double insulation for absolute electrical safety, each unit is completely submersible and features an integrated micro-thermostat dial for effortless temperature adjustments. Equipped with a bright, automatic on/off indicator light, the heater monitors water temperatures continuously—firing up instantly when the solution chills and cycling off once your target environment is perfectly achieved.

Best For: Automated hydroponic systems, standard nutrient mixing reservoirs, Deep Water Culture (DWC) master tanks, cloning and propagation arrays during winter, and indoor grow rooms experiencing cold night cycles.

Choose Your Thermal Capacity

Select the ideal wattage based on your overall active reservoir or nutrient fluid volume:

Model Variant Wattage Rating Standard Reservoir Capacity Cold Environment Profile
55 Watt 55W Capacity Up to 50 Litres Ideal for small cloning reservoirs and individual DWC buckets.
100 Watt 100W Capacity Up to 95 Litres Perfect for standard grow tent reservoirs and multi-pot loops.
200 Watt 200W Capacity Up to 190 Litres Engineered for larger commercial mixing stations and mid-size tables.
300 Watt 300W Capacity Up to 280 Litres The heavy-duty choice for master gravity storage tanks and expansive loops.

Key Features

  • Fully Submersible Double Insulation: Built with a reinforced, heavy-gauge glass casing and a double-insulated internal heating core, allowing the entire unit to be completely submerged in water or nutrient solutions with absolute safety.
  • Precision Automated Micro-Thermostat: Features a top-mounted, easy-to-use mechanical dial that locks in your desired temperature, removing the guesswork from seasonal root-zone management.
  • Highly Visible Temperature Guide: Designed with a clear, easy-to-read thermal index along the glass body, allowing you to quickly inspect and verify target thresholds during routine nursery walk-throughs.
  • Smart On/Off Indicator Light: The built-in indicator bulb illuminates the moment the internal heating coils draw power and switches off automatically once the target water temperature has been uniformly achieved.
  • Industrial Suction Mount Assembly: Bundled with premium, heavy-duty suction cup brackets that lock the glass body securely to the walls of plastic or glass reservoirs, preventing accidental movement or floating.
  • Thermal Shock Resistance: Fabricated from specialized, high-tensile borosilicate-profile glass designed to withstand continuous heating cycles and concentrated horticultural mineral salts without cracking or corroding.

Nursery Layout & Fluid Thermal Management Tips

  • The Critical Circulating Placement Rule: Always position your glass heater directly within a zone of highly active water circulation—such as right next to a submersible feed pump or directly above a churning **Hailea Magnetic Air Pump** airstone. Placing a heater in stagnant water creates localized hot spots, causing the thermostat to cycle off prematurely before the rest of the reservoir has reached temperature.
  • Vertical Mounting Mandate: For optimal internal thermal element calculation, always mount the glass heater in a completely **vertical position**. Ensure the entire glass body is fully submerged beneath the low-water line so the heating element does not crack from exposure to open air.
  • Managing Cold Micro-Climates: If your nutrient mixing tank is situated in an uninsulated outdoor greenhouse, a cold concrete floor, or a drafty grow room experiencing severe winter drops, the standard sizing rules may fall short. In these cold zones, always step up to the next larger size heater (e.g., using a 200W heater in a 95L tank) to ensure the system can comfortably hold its target temperature.
  • The Safety Cut-Out Protocol: Never pull an active or hot heater directly out of your reservoir. If you are doing a full reservoir clean-out or water change, unplug the heater from the mains power socket first and allow it to cool down in the liquid for at least 10–15 minutes before handling or lifting it out.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Winter Root-Zone Stabilization: Keeping delicate root micro-climates locked in the ideal 18°C–21°C sweet spot during freezing winter months, keeping vegetative growth running fast.
  • Automated Hydroponic Loops: Stabilizing incoming cold tap water inside primary supply reservoirs before it is pumped down to automated lines like **AutoPot Hydrotrays**.
  • High-Strike Cloning Stations: Elevating the base fluid temperature in propagation domes to stimulate rapid callus formation and explosive root strikes on fresh cuttings.

Oversize Item Delivery

Oversized Item Delivery Options

Since oversized items require special handling, we may need to provide a custom freight quote for your order and will contact you with an updated shipping rate.

Available options include:

✔ Delivery to your closest depot for pickup - default method

Business Delivery:

  • Business delivery is available for commercial customers only
  • If you select business delivery and your products are bulky, it is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate equipment (including forklifts) to unload products from the delivery truck
  • If you select business delivery and you are not a business, you risk your product not being delivered and may incur additional fees to retrieve your order
  • Business delivery customers must provide a valid business address and contact information
  • Additional fees may apply for failed delivery attempts due to lack of appropriate unloading equipment

Let us know your preference, and we'll arrange the best solution for you!

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
