Aqua One - Maxi Water Pump Series – Heavy-Duty Submersible Nutrient & Hydroponic Drive Pumps
Drive your automated irrigation manifolds, top-feed drip loops, and reservoir mixing lines with absolute confidence using the Aqua One Maxi Water Pump Series. Engineered to deliver an exceptional balance between high-volume volumetric velocity and economical power consumption, these completely submersible utility pumps are a standard choice for high-performance hydroponic systems. Built with a robust, magnetically driven motor core, the Maxi series operates smoothly and quietly deep within your nutrient reservoirs or mixing tanks. Featuring fully salt-water-compatible internals and a highly durable wear-resistant impeller assembly, these reliable workhorses effortlessly handle concentrated horticultural mineral salts, additives, and water conditioning loops across continuous, demanding production cycles.
Best For: Automated top-feed drip irrigation networks, structural nutrient reservoir mixing and recirculation, driving hydroponic run-off manifolds, fountain configurations, and transferring water out of master storage reservoirs.
Choose Your Hydraulic Flow Capacity
Select the ideal pump size based on your system's required flow velocity, vertical lift requirements (head height), and plumbing line diameters:
| Model Variant | Maximum Flow Rate | Maximum Lift (Head) | Outlet Size | Power Draw | Ideal System Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maxi 101 | 400 L/hr | 0.65 Metres | 13mm Barbed | 6 Watts | Small propagation domes, individual cloning loops, or boutique reservoir mixing. |
| Maxi 102 | 500 L/hr | 1.05 Metres | 13mm Barbed | 8 Watts | Small multi-pot drip arrays, grow tents, and standard vegetative staging lines. |
| Maxi 103 | 1,200 L/hr | 1.20 Metres | 16mm Barbed* | 15 Watts | Mid-scale drip networks, nutrient recirculation loops, and quick reservoir transfers. |
| Maxi 104 | 2,000 L/hr | 2.00 Metres | 19mm Barbed | 30 Watts | Commercial multi-row tables, vertical rack feeds, and high-frequency crop steering lines. |
| Maxi 105 | 2,200 L/hr | 2.50 Metres | 19mm Barbed | 45 Watts | High-head-pressure irrigation networks, heavy-fruiting crop blocks, and large reservoirs. |
| Maxi 106 | 3,200 L/hr | 3.50 Metres | 19mm Barbed | 80 Watts | Master facility distribution lines, expansive irrigation manifolds, and tall vertical farming racks. |
*Horticultural Tip: Standard 13mm flexible vinyl tubing can be easily fitted over the Maxi 103's 16mm outlet by softening the end of the tubing in warm water prior to installation.
Key Features
- 100% Fully Submersible Drive: Enclosed in an industrial-grade, resin-sealed polymer casing with an IPX8 waterproof rating, ensuring complete electrical safety when operating continuously at the bottom of deep reservoirs.
- Salt-Water & Nutrient Safe: Outfitted with high-tensile components and a specialized magnetic rotor that resists corrosion, rot, and scaling from concentrated hydroponic mineral salts or marine-grade environments.
- Whisper-Quiet Magnetic Drive: The advanced electromagnetic motor wraps deliver stable physical velocity with minimal noise or vibration, keeping your indoor cultivation spaces quiet and distraction-free.
- Serviceable Modular Architecture: Built for long-term commercial durability. Unlike disposable pumps, the Maxi series features fully replaceable impellers and shafts, letting you restore 100% factory flow rates easily for a fraction of the cost of a new pump.
- Energy-Efficient Thermal Management: Engineered to draw minimal operational wattage, helping you cut down facility power bills while maintaining lower heat transfers into your sensitive nutrient solutions.
- Removable Intake Screen: Features a clip-on front pre-filter screen that catches large loose particles of **Coco Coir**, organic debris, or roots before they can reach the impeller chamber, preventing internal clogs.

Nursery Layout & Fluid Dynamics Management Tips
- Calculating True Head Height Lift: When sizing a pump for an automated irrigation layout, remember that your flow rate drops as your vertical lift increases. If you are using a Maxi 104 to pump water vertically from a floor tank up onto a 1.5-metre-high grow bench, your actual output will be lower than the 2,000 L/hr maximum rating. Always select a pump that gives you a comfortable 30–50% overhead margin above your minimum required line pressure.
- The Warm Water Tubing Trick: When retrofitting the high-performance Maxi 103 pump into an existing standard 13mm plumbing line, the 16mm barbed outlet might seem too snug. Simply submerge the tip of your flexible 13mm vinyl hose into a cup of boiling water for 15–20 seconds. This temporarily expands the polymer material, allowing you to slide it effortlessly over the 16mm barb for a secure, airtight fit without needing extra adapters.
- Preventing Air-Lock During Resets: If you drain your reservoir completely during a water change, the pump may trap an air bubble inside the impeller housing when refilled, causing it to hum loudly without pushing water. If this air-lock occurs, simply unplug the pump and tilt it completely sideways under water to allow the trapped air to bubble out before plugging it back in.
- Routine Impeller Sanitation Protocol: To maintain clean, powerful fluid flow all season long, unclip the front pump cover once every few months and slide out the magnetic impeller assembly. Wipe away any accumulated mineral salt scale, hard water crust, or slick nutrient biofilms using a small brush or a mild descaling rinse before sliding it back into place.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Automated Crop Steering Loops: Pressurizing multi-pot drip networks or delivery manifolds to execute precise, scheduled multi-shot feeding events.
- Reservoir Continuous Aggressive Recirculation: Keeping concentrated mineral fertilizers and organic additives completely suspended and evenly blended, preventing nutrient dropout or stagnation.
- High-Velocity Fluid Transfers: Quickly evacuating or transferring large volumes of waste solution from catchment tables down to central **Bucket Company Run-Off Pump** stations.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
