AutoPot - 8-Pot Kit – Gravity-Fed Multi-Pot Hydroponic System
Scale up your cultivation space seamlessly with the AutoPot 8-Pot Kit. This larger-scale hydroponic configuration is engineered to manage up to eight separate plants simultaneously using the power of pure gravity. Operating entirely without electricity, noisy water pumps, or complex digital timers, this system offers commercial-grade reliability for home hobbyists and boutique growers alike. Utilizing four double-pot Hydrotrays managed by pressure-sensitive Smart Valves, the system automatically responds to each individual plant's water consumption. It delivers an optimal wet-and-dry irrigation cycle that maximizes root oxygenation while completely eliminating the risks of over-watering, trailing electrical cords, and nutrient runoff waste.
Best For: Mid-scale indoor grow tents, backyard greenhouse arrays, power-free outdoor allotment gardens, and cultivators looking to maximize their plant count with a low-maintenance, automated system.
Key Features
- Power-Free Gravity Automation: Driven completely by gravitational fluid pressure from the central reservoir. The system runs silently and requires zero mains power, guaranteeing continuous irrigation even during unexpected power blackouts.
- Individual Smart Valve Control: Features four separate Smart Valves (AQUAvalve technology)—one for each double-pot module. Each valve releases a set amount of nutrient solution into the tray base, then shuts off entirely until the plants have consumed the liquid, preventing root suffocation.
- Efficient Multi-Pot Layout: The dual-pot tray architecture maximizes your available floor space, allowing you to position eight large 10" pots compactly across four structured modules.
- Marix Root Control Barriers: Supplied with custom-fitted Marix root control mats for all eight pots. These barriers fit neatly into the base of the containers, preventing aggressive root strands from migrating out into the valve chamber and impeding mechanics.
- Completely Modular & Adaptable: Can be easily reconfigured or expanded. Pots can be moved further apart as the canopy fills out, and additional lines or single-pot modules can be plumbed into the circuit as your garden footprint increases.
- Zero Runoff Waste: Because the system operates on a closed-loop, demand-driven basis, every drop of water and nutrient solution fed into the reservoir is fully absorbed by the crops, preventing environmental runoff and lowering overall fertiliser bills.

System Layout & Cultivation Tips
- Substrate Blending Guide: For optimal capillary wicking, fill your 10" pots with an open, high-aeration mix. A 50/50 blend of premium **Coco Coir** and **Horticultural Perlite**, or a 50/50 mix of organic soil and **Hydro Clay LECA** pebbles works perfectly. Avoid using pure, dense soil or fine coco peat standalone, as they retain too much moisture.
- Reservoir Elevation: To generate sufficient gravitational pressure to snap all four Smart Valves open and shut cleanly, always position the bottom of the 35-litre supply tank at least 150mm (15cm) higher than the highest Hydrotray base.
- The Pre-Staging Phase: Always hand-water your young seedlings or rooted cuttings from the top for the first 7–10 days while they sit outside the system. Once white roots have established deep enough to reach the bottom of the 10" pots, transfer them into the Hydrotrays and activate the main gravity line.
- Clean Reservoir Management: Stick to clean, highly soluble mineral-based hydroponic nutrients. Refrain from adding thick organic compounds, liquid kelps, or unstable compost teas to the central tank, as these will settle, ferment, and clog the narrow 4mm feeding lines over time.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Indoor Multi-Plant Tents: Managing a uniform, high-density canopy of heavy-fruiting or flowering plants within a standard indoor grow environment.
- Productive Greenhouse Tunnels: Setting up clean, automated rows of high-yielding vegetable crops like tomatoes, chillies, eggplants, and capsicums without monitoring daily water requirements.
- Remote Allotment Cultivation: Maintaining an intensive, self-sufficient garden setup that can be left safely unattended for days at a time, relying on the self-regulating water reservoir.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
