Solitary Bee Hotel – 22 x 20 x 20 cm – Solid Firwood Nesting Habitat
The Solid Firwood Bee Hotel is a specialized ecological sanctuary engineered to replicate the natural nesting cavities preferred by solitary, non-swarming bees. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant firwood, this habitat features precision-carved nesting holes specifically sized to attract beneficial pollinators such as Red Mason bees and Leafcutter bees. Unlike traditional insect houses, this unit is designed with integrated stacking trays that can be easily opened, allowing for essential seasonal maintenance, cocoon inspection, and hygienic cleaning. This bee nester is the definitive choice for gardeners and conservationists seeking to enhance local biodiversity and improve fruit and flower pollination through a sustainable, professional-grade nesting solution.
Best For: Attracting solitary pollinators to home gardens, increasing the yields of fruit trees and flowering plants, supporting local insect conservation, and providing an educational window into the life cycle of non-aggressive bees.
Key Features
- Precision-Carved Nesting Channels: Features multiple hole diameters engineered to meet the specific nesting requirements of Red Mason, Leafcutter, and other solitary bee species, ensuring a high occupancy rate.
- Removable Stacking Trays: Designed with a modular tray system that can be disassembled for annual cleaning and the safe harvesting of cocoons, significantly reducing the risk of parasite buildup.
- Durable Solid Firwood: Constructed from high-quality, weather-resistant firwood that provides natural insulation and structural longevity against the elements.
- Natural Nesting Simulation: The internal geometry is designed to mimic the hollow stems and timber bores used by solitary bees in the wild, offering a familiar and attractive environment for egg-laying.
- Maintenance-Ready Design: The ability to open the trays for inspection ensures that the hotel remains a healthy and productive environment year after year, preventing the "clogging" common in static insect houses.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
