CORONA Pick Mattock - 36" Hickory Handle - Heavy-Duty Tool for Fracturing Rock, Roots & Dense Soil
Breaking new ground, severing thick roots, or tearing up compacted soil is the ultimate test of a digging tool. The Corona Pick Mattock is engineered for this extreme demand. Featuring a heavy forged, tempered steel head hardened for maximum toughness, this dual-purpose tool delivers a sharp point for fracturing rock and an extra-wide mattock blade for efficient grubbing. The innovative poly jacket on the handle guarantees long-term durability and safety against overstrikes.
Best For The commercial landscaper, construction worker, or heavy-duty gardener requiring a structural, long-handled tool for aggressive ground work, breaking hard clay, fracturing rock, and grubbing dense root systems.
Key Features
-
Ultra-Heavy Forged and Tempered Head: The blade is hardened for maximum strength, toughness, and superior wear resistance, ensuring the tool stands up to continuous, high-impact use against the hardest ground and materials.
-
Dual-Action Ground Breaking: Features a sharp Point for prying and fracturing stubborn rock and concrete, and an Extra-Wide Mattock Blade for efficient breaking, chopping, and clearing dense, heavy soils and thick roots.
-
Anti-Breakage Poly Jacket: The thick, moulded poly jacket covering the upper portion of the handle prevents damage from common overstrikes, significantly increasing the handle's lifespan and overall tool safety.
-
Superior Leverage Handle (36" Hickory): Fitted with a long 36-inch (91cm) American Hickory handle, providing excellent balance and leverage to maximize the impact of your swing while offering critical shock resistance.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
