Extreme Duty Timber Tree Stakes - 50mm x 50mm Hardwood - Professional Grade
For large specimen trees, commercial orchards, and high-exposure landscape projects, our Extreme Duty Timber Tree Stakes offer the uncompromising structural support required for healthy establishment. Unlike standard garden stakes, these are milled from high-density, 50mm x 50mm hardwood, providing the rigidity and weight-bearing capacity necessary to anchor significant saplings against high winds and heavy branch loading.
Available in both 1800mm and 2100mm lengths, these professional-grade stakes are designed for deep ground penetration to ensure a stable foundation. The natural hardwood construction is selected for its superior resistance to snapping and warping, making them the gold standard for landscape contractors, councils, and primary producers seeking a long-term staking solution for valuable green assets.
Best For: Professional landscapers, orchardists, and property owners needing maximum-strength support for large specimen trees and advanced stock.
Key Features:
- Heavy-Duty 50x50mm Profile: The thick hardwood cross-section provides exceptional strength and prevents the flexing commonly found in thinner stakes.
- High-Density Hardwood: Milled from robust timber species for superior longevity and resistance to environmental degradation.
- Deep-Anchor Lengths: Available in 1.8m and 2.1m options to allow for significant in-ground depth, ensuring the stake remains vertical in soft or saturated soils.
- Professional Finish: Sawn with precision for uniform sizing, making them easy to drive into the ground with a post driver or sledgehammer.
- Natural Timber Aesthetic: Blends seamlessly into garden and orchard environments while providing an eco-friendly alternative to steel pickets.
Specifications:
| Feature | Details |

| Available Lengths | 1800 mm (1.8m) or 2100 mm (2.1m) |
| End Profile | Pointed for easy ground penetration |
Ideal For:
- Specimen Tree Planting: Anchoring advanced 75L–100L pot-sized trees that require significant lateral support.
- Commercial Orchards: Providing a uniform, heavy-duty support system for fruit and nut trees during their formative years.
- High-Wind Areas: Securing tall saplings in coastal or hilltop locations where standard bamboo or pine stakes would fail.
- Public Spaces: Protecting street trees and parkland plantings from physical damage and environmental stress.
Installation Tip: For maximum stability, drive at least one-third of the stake's length into the ground. When using with large trees, we recommend using two or three stakes positioned outside the root ball, secured with professional-grade tree tie webbing to prevent bark chafing.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
