Heavy-Duty Black Poly Tubing – 19mm Horticultural Irrigation Line
Reliable fluid dynamics are essential for a high-performing garden. Our Heavy-Duty Black Poly Tubing is the industry-standard choice for mid-sized nutrient delivery lines and custom irrigation manifolds. With a 19mm diameter, this tubing offers the perfect balance between high-volume flow and manageable flexibility, making it the go-to size for many indoor grow tent configurations and greenhouse drip systems. The opaque black construction is engineered to block 100% of light penetration, effectively halting algae growth within your lines—a critical step in maintaining a sterile nutrient solution and preventing frustrating blockages in your drippers and emitters.
Best For: Secondary delivery lines, constructing manifold systems for 4–12 plants, connecting medium-flow pumps, and standard run-to-waste or recirculating hydroponic setups.
Key Features
- Light-Proof Algae Prevention: The deep black pigmentation prevents light from reaching your nutrient solution, stopping algae bloom in its tracks and protecting your root zone from pathogens.
- Versatile 19mm Diameter: Provides ample flow for multiple dripper sites while remaining easy to route around tent poles and corners, ensuring consistent pressure throughout your system.
- UV-Stabilised Durability: Manufactured from premium polyethylene designed to resist the intense radiation of LED and HPS lighting, ensuring the pipe won't crack or become brittle over time.
- Kink-Resistant Performance: Formulated for flexibility without sacrificing structural integrity, allowing for tidy, professional plumbing runs even in tight grow spaces.
- Standard Fitting Compatibility: Specifically designed to pair with all standard 19mm barbed irrigation fittings (Tees, Elbows, and Joiners) for a secure, leak-free installation.
- Inert & Safe: High-quality LDPE construction ensures that no harmful chemicals leach into your reservoir, preserving the purity and flavour of your final harvest.
Available Lengths
- 19mm x 10 Metre Roll: The ideal length for hobbyist tents (1.2m to 2.4m) and individual reservoir-to-tray connections.
- 19mm x 30 Metre Roll: Excellent bulk value for commercial facilities or growers managing multiple rooms and larger irrigation networks.
Specifications
- Diameter: 19mm (Internal Diameter)
- Material: Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
- Colour: Opaque Black (Light-Proof)
- Pressure Rating: Optimized for standard horticultural water pumps
- Application: Hydroponics, Aquaponics, and Soil-based Drip Systems
Installation & Maintenance Tips
- Secure Connections: For a professional seal, use a cup of hot water to soften the end of the tubing before pushing it onto 19mm barbed fittings. This ensures a tight, leak-proof fit every time.
- Manifold Design: 19mm tubing is the ideal "secondary" line size; run it from a 25mm main line to create high-pressure manifolds for your individual plant sites.
- Seasonal Hygiene: Periodically flush your lines with a horticultural cleaning solution to remove mineral salt build-up and maintain maximum flow efficiency.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Drip Irrigation: Serving as the primary supply line for 4mm or 6mm micro-tubing take-offs.
- System Returns: Acting as a reliable drainage or return line for smaller flood-and-drain or top-feed systems.
- Pump Connections: The perfect fit for most standard 1000L/h to 3000L/h submersible pumps.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
