Description

Heavy-Duty In-Line Valves – Precision Flow Control & Zone Isolation

Maintaining total control over your irrigation network is essential for balancing pressure and managing nutrient delivery. Our Heavy-Duty In-Line Valves (Green Back) are the industry standard for secondary zone water diversion and flow management in low-pressure systems. Designed for simple on-off operation and straight-through flow, these valves allow you to isolate specific grow trays or garden sections for maintenance without shutting down your entire pump. Engineered to handle operating pressures up to 45 PSI, they provide a robust, leak-proof solution for both indoor hydroponic facilities and outdoor horticultural setups where reliable manual control is a necessity.

Best For: Secondary zone water diversion, manual flow control, isolating reservoir lines, and balancing pressure across multi-room grow operations.

Key Features

  • Simple On-Off Operation: Features a high-visibility Green Back cap for easy identification, providing a smooth-turn manual dial for rapid shut-off or straight-through flow.
  • High-Pressure Barbed Grip: Engineered with aggressive, precision-moulded barbs that bite deeply into poly tubing, ensuring a secure connection that stays watertight even during high-frequency pump cycling.
  • Full-Flow Internal Path: The straight-through design minimises turbulence and friction loss when the valve is open, ensuring your nutrient solution maintains maximum velocity to the end of the line.
  • Industrial UV-Stabilisation: Manufactured from premium, horticultural-grade polymers designed to resist the degrading effects of intense HID/LED grow lighting and the Australian sun.
  • Chemical & Salt Resistant: Built to handle the continuous flow of concentrated mineral fertilisers and pH adjusters without clogging or corroding internal seals.
  • Reliable Pressure Rating: Optimized for low-pressure irrigation systems with a safe operating range up to 45 PSI, making them perfect for standard hydroponic feed pumps.

Available Configurations

  • 13mm Valve (Bag of 20): The standard size for secondary distribution lines and hobbyist irrigation setups.
  • 19mm Valve (Bag of 20): The versatile choice for medium-flow main lines and zone isolation in larger grow tents.
  • 25mm Valve (Bag of 10): The professional choice for high-volume main supply lines and commercial irrigation "spines."

Specifications

  • Fitting Type: In-Line Barbed Valve (Manual)
  • Max Operating Pressure: 45 PSI
  • Material: High-Impact Polypropylene / UV-Resistant Polymer
  • Colour: Black Body with Green Back Control Cap
  • Application: Hydroponics, Greenhouse Fertigation, and Drip Irrigation

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  • In-Line Installation: These valves are designed to be installed as an inline component. Always ensure poly tubing is connected to both the inlet and outlet sides to maintain system integrity.
  • Thermal Seating: For the easiest installation on 19mm and 25mm sizes, dip the ends of your poly pipe in hot water for 15 seconds. This softens the plastic, allowing the valve to slide on fully for a "shrink-wrapped" seal as it cools.
  • Pressure Balancing: Use these valves at the beginning of each distribution branch. By slightly restricting flow to the zones closest to the pump, you can effectively "push" more pressure to the furthest corners of your facility for uniform watering.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Zone Isolation: Shutting off nutrient flow to a specific grow table or room for cleaning or harvesting without affecting the rest of the crop.
  • Reservoir Management: Installing on the intake or return lines of mixing tanks to provide manual control during nutrient changes.
  • Emergency Shut-Offs: Placing a master valve at the entry point of each grow zone to provide a quick manual shut-off in the event of a line leak or component failure.

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
