Description

Heavy-Duty Poly Increasing Tees – High-Flow Line Expansion (Bag of 20)

Optimising the flow dynamics of a complex irrigation system often requires the ability to transition from a smaller supply line to a larger distribution network. Our Heavy-Duty Poly Increasing Tees are the professional solution for splitting an existing line into two or integrating a larger-diameter pipeline into your current layout. Specifically engineered for Low-Density Poly (LDPE) and Drip Tube, these fittings provide a robust, leak-proof 3-way junction. Trusted by professional installers, these increasing tees allow for custom system configurations, ensuring that your plumbing can adapt to higher volume requirements as your garden or commercial facility expands.

Best For: Integrating larger distribution lines into existing networks, creating high-flow manifold branches, and adapting supply lines for expanded irrigation zones.

Key Features

  • Precision-Moulded Increasing Barbs: Features sharp, aggressive barbs designed to accommodate different pipe diameters simultaneously, providing a permanent, high-pressure grip and a total watertight seal across all three outlets.
  • Industrial UV-Stabilisation: Manufactured from premium-grade polymers designed to withstand the intense radiation of the Australian sun and high-intensity indoor HID/LED grow lights without becoming brittle or cracking.
  • High-Flow Internal Geometry: The internal bore is engineered to facilitate a smooth transition between pipe sizes, reducing turbulence and helping to maintain consistent head pressure across your expanded irrigation layout.
  • Chemical & Salt Resistant: Built to handle the continuous flow of concentrated mineral fertilisers and pH adjusters common in hydroponic reservoirs without degrading or leaching harmful chemicals.
  • Installation-Grade Reliability: These are the same high-quality fittings used by commercial irrigation specialists, chosen for their long-term durability and consistent performance in demanding horticultural environments.
  • Opaque Algae Prevention: The deep black pigmentation ensures total light blockage, preventing algae from colonising the fitting and protecting your downstream emitters from organic blockages.

Available Configurations

  • 13mm to 19mm Increasing Tee (Bag of 20): Perfect for branching a high-capacity 19mm distribution line from a standard 13mm supply line.
  • 19mm to 25mm Increasing Tee (Bag of 20): The professional choice for expanding 19mm distribution networks into high-volume 25mm main "spines" or zones.

Specifications

  • Material: High-Impact Polypropylene / ABS
  • Fitting Type: 3-Way Barbed Increasing Tee
  • Compatibility: Low-Density Poly Pipe (LDPE) and Drip Tube
  • Quantity: 20 Pieces per Bag
  • Colour: Black (Light-Proof)

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  • The "Hot Water" Seal: To ensure the easiest installation, especially when working with larger 19mm and 25mm pipes, dip the ends of the tubing in hot water for 15 seconds. This softens the poly, allowing it to slide fully over the barbs for a "shrink-wrapped" seal as it cools.
  • System Logic: When using an increasing tee, ensure your pump has sufficient volume and pressure (flow rate) to support the larger diameter pipe, preventing a drop in velocity at your plant sites.
  • Square Cuts: Always use a sharp pipe cutter to ensure perfectly square cuts on all pipe ends. This allows the tubing to seat fully against the internal shoulders of the tee, ensuring maximum surface area for the barbs to grip.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • System Expansion: Upgrading an existing small-scale irrigation setup to a larger-diameter network to accommodate more plants.
  • Custom Manifolds: Building professional-grade distribution headers that require transitions between different poly pipe sizes.
  • Greenhouse Fertigation: Reliable enough for intensive commercial use where custom line configurations and robust branching are required.

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
