Horticultural Measuring Jugs – Heavy-Duty Precision Liquid Dosing
Maintaining a precise nutrient regime is the cornerstone of a high-yielding garden. Our range of Horticultural Measuring Jugs is engineered for the rigours of the grow room, providing a reliable and professional solution for mixing fertilisers, additives, and pH regulators. Whether you are prepping a small propagation tray or a massive commercial reservoir, getting the right amount of nutrients is essential for feeding your plants correctly and avoiding the risks of nutrient lockout or burn. These jugs feature high-contrast graduations and an ergonomic design, ensuring that your feeding schedule remains accurate and your mixing process stays clean and efficient.
Best For: Mixing base nutrients and boosters, managing large-scale reservoirs, prepping foliar sprays, and accurately measuring water volumes for run-to-waste systems.
Key Features
- Industrial-Grade Durability: Constructed from thick, high-clarity polypropylene designed to withstand the chemical profiles of concentrated acids, alkalis, and mineral fertilisers.
- Permanent Graduated Markings: Features bold, easy-to-read embossed scales that won’t rub off or fade over time, ensuring your measurements remain pinpoint accurate throughout years of use.
- Anti-Drip Pouring Spout: Specifically engineered with a precision spout to provide a steady, controlled pour, eliminating wasted nutrients and messy spills in your mixing area.
- Ergonomic Open Handle: Designed for comfort and stability, even when the jug is at full capacity, allowing for a secure grip with wet hands or while wearing gloves.
- Heat & UV Resistant: Built to maintain structural integrity in the warm, high-intensity environments of greenhouses and indoor grow rooms without becoming brittle.
- Stable Base Design: Features a wide, reinforced base to prevent tipping and accidental spills during the mixing and aeration process.
Available Sizes
- 250ml Jug: Perfect for precision dosing of concentrated additives, silica, and pH adjusters in smaller tanks.
- 1 Litre Jug: The essential "all-rounder" for standard nutrient programs and mid-sized reservoir preparation.
- 2 Litre Jug: Ideal for measuring base nutrients for 100L+ tanks and mixing larger batches of foliar treatments.
- 5 Litre Jug: A heavy-duty solution for commercial facilities and high-volume nutrient transfers.
Specifications
- Material: Food-Grade, Chemical-Resistant Polypropylene
- Colour: Transparent with high-contrast markings

Grower's Tips for Success
- Hygiene Matters: Always rinse your jugs with fresh water immediately after use. Dried nutrient salts can build up and potentially affect the pH or EC of your next batch.
- Sequence of Mixing: When mixing a multi-part nutrient line, use your jugs to measure each part separately and add them to the water one by one to prevent chemical fallout (precipitation).
- Eye-Level Accuracy: For the most precise measurement, place the jug on a flat surface and read the volume at eye level rather than holding the jug in the air.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Reservoir Management: Dosing large tanks with base nutrients (A & B) and bloom boosters.
- Pest Control Prep: Accurately diluting neem oil, insecticides, or fungicides into large pressure sprayers.
- Water Tracking: Measuring precise volumes of water for hand-watering high-value mother plants or sensitive clones.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
