Mojo Cow - PS-1 Modular T5 Fluorescent Expander Module – Custom High-Output Expansion Component (White & Purple Options)
Achieve infinite flexibility in your vertical nursery design and fine-tune your light mapping with the Mojo Cow PS-1 Modular T5 Fluorescent Expander Module. Engineered as the primary mechanical and electrical expansion component for the Mojo Cow ecosystem, this module allows commercial facility operators and boutique nursery managers to effortlessly scale their propagation grids up or down based on changing seasonal canopy demands. Designed to seamlessly lock onto the specialized PS-1 structural spine or modular frames, this unit makes it simple to construct high-intensity 4-bar or ultra-dense 8-bar fluorescent lighting arrays. Each individual Expander Module comes fully equipped with a single 24-Watt high-output linear T5 fluorescent lamp, a dedicated, highly polished reflector channel that focuses photon delivery directly downward, and a 30cm pass-through connection cable. To support varied crop types and specific plant growth stages, Mojo Cow provides this add-on component in two distinct spectral variations: the White Lamp Expander ($15.80), which outputs a crisp full-spectrum daylight profile engineered to trigger explosive early vegetative stacking and vegetative growth; and the Purple Lamp Expander ($17.00), which supplies a targeted high-actinic waveband profile optimized to accelerate root cell division and minimize stem stretching in fresh, fragile cuttings. Wiring is completely streamlined: instead of cluttering your racking lines with extra main power leads, simply use the included 30cm jumper cable to plug the new expander module directly into the rear socket of your existing PS-1 lamp. Running off your primary 240-Volt source, up to 8 individual bars can be linked together in a single continuous circuit, giving you complete structural control over your propagation footprint.
Best For: Expanding existing PS-1 lighting spines, building custom 4-bar or 8-bar nursery arrays, mixing spectrums on multi-tier cloning shelves, and scalable commercial facility retrofits.
Key Features & Technical Advancements
- Seamless Plug-and-Play Spine Expansion: Locks directly onto your existing PS-1 multi-light frame array, letting you quickly scale your light footprint without mounting completely separate fixtures.
- Targeted Spectral Customization Options: Available in White Lamp versions for vegetative shoot growth or Purple Lamp versions to supply the precise actinic light needed for rapid root initiation.
- Dedicated Single-Lamp Reflector Integration: Houses the 24W high-output T5 bulb in its own mirror-polished reflector channel, completely eliminating cross-trapped light and focusing energy straight onto your trays.
- 30cm Interconnecting Jumper Cable Included: Comes complete with a flexible 30cm pass-through link cord, allowing clean, tool-free power routing between adjacent lamps on the frame.
- High-Density 8-Bar Circuit Capability: Integrates perfectly into the pass-through architecture of your main PS-1 system, supporting up to 8 active lamps running safely on a single electrical loop.
- Commercial Volume Tiered Discounts: Features structured bulk wholesale price points, significantly lowering capital equipment expenditures when outfitting massive multi-tier vertical farming arrays.

Advanced T5 Nursery Management & Substrate Control Tips
- Configuring Multi-Bar Arrays for Growth Transitions: As your plants grow from fresh unrooted cuttings into vigorous vegetative starts, their light requirements change. Use the expander modules to adapt your lighting intensity over time. You can start with just 2 active bars for fresh clones, then easily snap in 2 or 4 additional expander modules to create a powerful 4-bar or 6-bar array as they develop a root system, giving them more light without needing to adjust your hang heights.
- Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: Young cuttings and seedlings require an extremely light, well-aerated substrate that balances uniform moisture retention with high oxygen access around developing roots. Support fast early root initiation by setting your starts in specialized starter plugs or breathable fabric nursery pots filled with a light, highly porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Keep your moisture levels flawlessly uniform by feeding your trays with a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump managed by an automated digital shot-timer.
- Balancing Custom Spectral Blends on the Spine: Take full advantage of the PS-1's open modular architecture by mixing White and Purple expander modules on the same multi-light spine. Slot Purple modules onto the outer positions of the frame to give edge rows high-actinic wavelengths that prevent stretching, while filling the center slots with White modules to provide bright daylight spectrums to your main trays. Keep all 30cm link cables neatly tucked into the frame channels to ensure a clean workspace.
- Setting Up Safety Drip Loops for Interconnected Jumper Cables: Because commercial cloning spaces and multi-tier nursery racks run at high humidity levels (75% to 85% RH) with active foliar misting, protecting your wiring connections is paramount. When plugging the 30cm link cable between adjacent expander modules, always let the cord hang in a slight, loose downward loop between the fixtures. This forms a natural "drip loop"—any ambient room condensation or stray moisture tracking down the wire will pool safely at the bottom of the bend and drip to the floor rather than running directly into active electrical terminals.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Custom Multi-Bar Shelving Expansions: The ultimate option for vertical farming operators who want to scale up from basic 2-light setups to dense 4-bar or 8-bar configurations as nursery benches fill out.
- Targeted Spectrum Adjustments: Perfect for cultivators who want to quickly add a burst of specific Purple actinic light or White daylight to an existing lighting spine to match a new crop variety.
- High-Volume Vertical Nursery Retrofits: An exceptional system for commercial microgreen and clone facilities looking to cost-effectively build massive vertical racking arrays using bulk, modular components.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
