Plont - PPH 2500 Submersible Powerhead Pump – Commercial-Grade 2,500 L/hr Hydroponic Drive
Deliver exceptional volumetric drive and robust static pressure to your cultivation array with the commercial performance of the Plont PPH 2500 Powerhead Pump. Specifically engineered to meet the high-flow demands of modern, mineral-dense hydroponic layouts, this robust, completely submersible utility pump delivers a commanding 2,500 L/hr volumetric flow rate combined with a powerful 2.85m maximum head height (vertical lift). Driven by a high-torque 45-watt magnetic motor core, the PPH 2500 provides the intense hydraulic force required to run expansive multi-pot drip networks, overhead lines, and vertical farm configurations smoothly and quietly. Backed by a full 12-month manufacturer warranty and carrying official Australian Electrical Safety Certification, this rugged pump ensures absolute water delivery uniformity across your entire footprint.
Best For: Expansive multi-pot automated drip arrays, commercial-scale vertical farming loops, high-frequency crop steering setups, master reservoir aggressive agitation, and high-velocity fluid transfers.
Key Features
- Hydroponic-Optimised Architecture: Formulated explicitly to operate continuously inside mineral-dense water columns, completely resisting scale build-up, salt encrustation, and corrosion from concentrated liquid fertilisers.
- Commanding 2.85-Metre Static Lift: Driven by an optimized 45-watt motor core that comfortably pushes water up to a maximum vertical height of 2.85 metres, making it an outstanding choice for feeding overhead distribution manifolds or tall multi-tier racks.
- 100% Submersible Waterproof Casing: Enclosed in a high-impact, resin-sealed polymer housing with an IPX8 waterproof rating, ensuring complete electrical safety when resting at the bottom of deep reservoirs.
- Certified Electrical Compliance: Outfitted with strict Australian Electrical Safety Certification and a practical 1.8-metre power cable, providing complete operational peace of mind in high-humidity, wet cultivation environments.
- Triple Interchangeable Outlet Barbs: Ships packed with 13mm, 16mm, and 19mm screw-in outlet nozzles, allowing quick, tool-free integration with standard flexible vinyl, silicone, or commercial-grade feeder plumbing lines.
- Low Heat Transfer Core: The energy-efficient magnetic drive ensures that even during intense 24-hour cycles, virtually zero thermal heat is pushed into your pristine nutrient solutions, keeping root zones in their thermal sweet spot.

Nursery Layout & Fluid Dynamics Optimization Tips
- Factoring in Vertical Lift Losses: When mapping out automated drip networks, keep in mind that a pump's actual flow velocity will drop as your vertical delivery height increases. While the PPH 2500 tops out at 2,500 L/hr at zero lift, pumping water up onto a 2-metre-high vertical tier will naturally lower final line pressure. Always select a pump model that provides a comfortable 30% overhead margin above your tray height to ensure clean distribution.
- Preventing Intrusive Air-Locks: If you fully drain your reservoir during a weekly nutrient tank change-out, an air bubble can occasionally become trapped inside the pump's impeller housing upon refilling. If the motor hums but fails to push fluid, simply tilt the pump completely sideways while submerged to allow the trapped air to bubble out.
- The Warm Water Tubing Trick: If you are looking to retrofit this pump into a tightly fitting line, the 16mm and 19mm barbs are incredibly secure. To easily slide standard flexible vinyl hose over the fittings, submerge the tip of the hose into a cup of boiling water for 15 seconds. This temporarily softens the polymer, allowing it to slide effortlessly over the barb for an airtight, leak-free compression fit.
- Routine Mechanical Maintenance Loop: To secure flawless operation across consecutive harvest cycles, pull the front casing off the pump every couple of months and slide the magnetic impeller out. Clean away any built-up mineral scale, hard-water crust, or biological film with a small brush or a mild descaling rinse to preserve 100% factory output.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Automated Crop Steering Loops: Pressurizing multi-pot drip networks (such as **The Bucket Company 12-Pot Drip Kits** upgraded with **Manifold Spray Kits**) to execute precise, scheduled multi-shot feeding events with absolute uniformity.
- Active Solution Agitation: Keeping concentrated mineral formulas and organic additives fully suspended throughout medium-to-large mixing tanks, preventing nutrient dropout or stagnation.
- Fast Fluid Transfers: Quickly moving fresh water or conditioned nutrient solutions from master storage tanks out to active distribution reservoirs.
Oversized Item Delivery Options
Since oversized items require special handling, we may need to provide a custom freight quote for your order and will contact you with an updated shipping rate.
Available options include:
✔ Delivery to your closest depot for pickup - default method
✔ Direct delivery - requires forklift on site
✔ Direct delivery with tailgate lift truck (extra fees apply)
✔ Forklift loading at our warehouse (no extra charge if you arrange your own freight)
✔ Direct truck delivery (available in Victoria)
Important Notes:
- Shipping costs vary by location and method
- Because of the forklift requirement, delivery to the nearest depot is the default option and will be the method used unless you contact us to request otherwise.
Business Delivery:
- Business delivery is available for commercial customers only
- If you select business delivery and your products are bulky, it is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate equipment (including forklifts) to unload products from the delivery truck
- If you select business delivery and you are not a business, you risk your product not being delivered and may incur additional fees to retrieve your order
- Business delivery customers must provide a valid business address and contact information
- Additional fees may apply for failed delivery attempts due to lack of appropriate unloading equipment
Let us know your preference, and we'll arrange the best solution for you!
Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
