Description

Plont - PPH 600 Submersible Powerhead Pump – Efficient Mid-Range Hydroponic Drive

Step up your grow tent fluid circulation and drip automation with the reliable performance of the Plont PPH 600 Powerhead Pump. Engineered explicitly for the mineral-dense and demanding water environments of modern hydroponics, this completely submersible utility pump delivers a generous 600 L/hr volumetric flow rate alongside an impressive 1.10m maximum head height (vertical lift). Powered by a highly efficient 12-watt magnetic-drive motor, the PPH 600 runs smooth, quiet, and cool under continuous 24/7 deployment. Backed by a full 12-month manufacturer warranty and carrying official Australian Electrical Safety Certification, this rugged compact pump is the ideal choice for growers looking to elevate their irrigation velocity without breaking the budget.

Best For: Small-to-mid scale indoor grow tents, multi-pot automated drip systems, small nutrient reservoir recirculation, cloning arrays, and driving low-profile drainage lines.

Key Features

  • Hydroponic-Optimised Engineering: Formulated explicitly to operate continuously inside mineral-rich water systems, completely resisting scaling and corrosion from concentrated liquid fertilisers.
  • Enhanced Static Lift Velocity: Driven by an optimized 12-watt motor that comfortably lifts water up to a maximum vertical height of 1.10 metres, easily accommodating standard raised greenhouse benches or elevated grow trays.
  • 100% Submersible Waterproof Casing: Enclosed in a high-impact, resin-sealed polymer housing with an IPX8 waterproof rating, ensuring complete electrical safety when resting at the bottom of deep reservoirs.
  • Certified Electrical Compliance: Outfitted with strict Australian Electrical Safety Certification and a 1.8-metre power cable, providing complete operational peace of mind in wet cultivation environments.
  • Dual Interchangeable Outlet Barbs: Ships packed with both 8mm and 13mm screw-in outlet nozzles, allowing quick, tool-free integration with standard flexible vinyl or silicone plumbing lines.
  • Low Heat Transfer Core: The energy-efficient motor design ensures that even during intense 24-hour cycles, virtually zero thermal heat is pushed into your pristine nutrient solutions, helping prevent root zone temperature spikes.

Nursery Layout & Fluid Dynamics Optimization Tips

  • Factoring in Vertical Lift Losses: When mapping out automated drip feeds, keep in mind that a pump's actual flow velocity will drop as your vertical delivery height increases. While the PPH 600 tops out at 600 L/hr at zero lift, pumping water up onto a 0.6-metre bench will naturally lower final line pressure. Always select a model that provides a comfortable 30% overhead margin above your tray height.
  • Preventing Intrusive Air-Locks: If you fully drain your reservoir during a weekly nutrient tank change-out, an air bubble can occasionally become trapped inside the pump's impeller housing upon refilling. If the motor hums but fails to push fluid, simply tilt the pump completely sideways while submerged to allow the trapped air to bubble out.
  • Substrate & Plumbing Integration: The 13mm outlet barb pairs beautifully with standard 13mm flexible vinyl feed lines. Use this configuration to drive automated drip networks or spray lines over highly porous substrates like a 70/30 blend of loose **Coco Coir** and **Horticultural Perlite**, or a top-dressing layer of **Professor's Nutrients Hydro Clay** pebbles to keep moisture levels completely uniform.
  • Routine Mechanical Maintenance Loop: To secure flawless operation across consecutive harvest cycles, pull the front casing off the pump every couple of months and slide the magnetic impeller out. Clean away any built-up mineral scale, hard-water crust, or biological film with a small brush or a mild descaling rinse to preserve 100% factory output.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Automated Drip Irrigation Tents: Providing the perfect mid-range pressure threshold to evenly feed multi-pot configurations on precise, scheduled feeding timers.
  • Cloning & Propagation Stations: Keeping your cutting water loops aggressively mixed and oxygenated to encourage rapid, clean root strike.
  • Active Solution Agitation: Keeping concentrated mineral formulas and organic additives fully suspended throughout small-to-mid size mixing tanks, preventing nutrient dropout.
Oversize Item Delivery

Oversized Item Delivery Options

Since oversized items require special handling, we may need to provide a custom freight quote for your order and will contact you with an updated shipping rate.

Available options include:

✔ Delivery to your closest depot for pickup - default method
✔ Direct delivery - requires forklift on site
✔ Direct delivery with tailgate lift truck (extra fees apply)
✔ Forklift loading at our warehouse (no extra charge if you arrange your own freight)

  • Additional fees may apply for failed delivery attempts due to lack of appropriate unloading equipment

Let us know your preference, and we'll arrange the best solution for you!

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
