SeaHawk 740mm Deep Bowl Vertical HID Reflector – Commercial Large-Format Parabolic Distribution Hood
Deliver an ultra-wide, uniform footprint of photosynthetic photon energy across extensive multi-bench canopies with the SeaHawk Deep Bowl Reflector. A time-tested, commercial-grade favorite among legacy horticultural managers and high-volume indoor growers, this massive parabolic dome is specifically engineered to orient and fire high-intensity discharge lamps in a vertical downward position. Traditional horizontal reflectors throw intense, focused lines of radiant energy directly below the bulb's arc tube, which can create volatile localized heat signatures and stunted crop spots. By mounting the lamp vertically, the SeaHawk Deep Bowl captures the uniform 360-degree radial light output of your bulb and redirects it down across an expansive geographic radius. This mechanical alignment disperses intense intersecting light rays far and wide, radically minimizing under-hood hot spots while maximizing light penetration into dense lateral branch layers. Spanning a commanding 740mm diameter and built to rugged structural specifications, this heavy-duty fixture features an optimized reflective profile that turns a single HID bulb into a wide-angle dispersion system. Ideal for scaling up extensive commercial facilities, warehouse grow lines, or high-density nursery benches, these premium reflectors are distributed in bulk packaging configurations and are available exclusively in factory carton quantities of 10 or more units.
Best For: Large-scale open room cultivation, uniform wide-angle canopy light mapping, eliminating under-hood thermal hot spots, and bulk multi-bench commercial facility scaling.
Key Features & Technical Advancements
- Vertical Orientation Optical Geometry: Operates the HID bulb in a vertical position, leveraging the lamp’s natural 360-degree radial emission to throw an exceptionally even, circular light footprint.
- Ultra-Wide Footprint Dispersion: Engineered with a broad 740mm parabolic curvature that redirects light far across your floor area, allowing wider fixture spacing while ensuring overlapping canopy coverage.
- Thermal Hot-Spot Mitigation: By bouncing light outward rather than focused directly down, this dome layout prevents radiant infrared heat from concentrating on your plant tops, reducing leaf curling and heat stress.
- Heavy-Duty Commercial Durability: Constructed from rigid, lightweight horticultural metals designed to resist warping, denting, and oxidative degradation across high-humidity grow environments.
- High-Efficiency Textured Material: Features a premium, dimpled reflective lining that diffuses harsh light rays, smoothing out uneven intensities and delivering balanced photon streams to the leaf surfaces.
- Factory Carton Logistics Optimization: Supplied efficiently in an intact, fixed factory carton configuration of exactly 10 units per box, streamlining freight economics and minimizing handling damage during facility expansions.

Advanced Vertical Light Management & Substrate Control Tips
- Optimizing Vertical Hang Heights and Crossover Footprints: Because the vertical orientation of the SeaHawk Deep Bowl throws light at a wider outward angle than horizontal hoods, correct fixture height is critical to lock in cross-canopy uniformity. Position your reflectors 65cm to 85cm above the top of your plants. Space multiple fixtures evenly across your room so that the outer edges of their light rings overlap perfectly on your benches, filling in any gaps and driving light down into your plants from multiple angles.
- Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: The wide, uniform light footprint delivered by a vertical parabolic reflector maximizes the leaf surface area actively performing photosynthesis across your entire room. Support this high-efficiency growth by potting your crops in breathable fabric aeration pots filled with a light, highly porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Ensure your wet-dry irrigation cycles stay flawlessly uniform by connecting your drip lines to a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump managed by an automated digital shot-timer.
- Managing Airflow and Heat in Vertical Arrays: While vertical reflectors naturally eliminate the harsh hot spots created by horizontal hoods, their large 740mm profile can trap warm ambient air rising from your plants. To keep your grow space at the ideal temperature range (24°C to 27°C), mount your main inline extraction fan high up in the ceiling to pull trapped heat out of the room, combined with a grid of oscillating fans below the hoods to keep air moving smoothly over your canopy.
- Setting Up Safety Drip Loops for Vertical Socket Leads: Because commercial open rooms and large propagation bays operate at high humidity levels, protecting your electrical lines is paramount. When routing the heavy-duty power lead from your deep bowl's vertical center socket up to your ceiling tracks and back to your remote ballasts, always ensure the cable drops into a loose, shallow U-shape bend right before it enters your line conduits. This forms a natural "drip loop"—any ambient room condensation or stray moisture tracking down the wire will pool safely at the bottom of the bend and drip to the floor rather than running directly into active electrical connections.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Large Commercial Warehouse Expansions: The ultimate option for commercial facility operators outfitting massive open rooms or warehouse rows who need a durable, wide-angle light hood to maximize coverage per light.
- High-Density Shared Nursery Benches: Perfect for propagation rooms and vegetative bays where large groups of plants are packed closely together on wide tables and require uniform light from edge to edge.
- Fragile Terpene and Essential Oil Protection: An exceptional choice for growers looking to reduce thermal stress on delicate flower tops, using the diffuse parabolic shape to minimize infrared hot spots and protect crop quality.
Oversized Item Delivery Options

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
