SeaHawk - Star Light 2 x 55W High-Output T5 Fluorescent Propagation Fixture – Industrial-Grade Horticultural Canopy System

Deliver powerful, uniform light coverage and maximize photosynthetic efficiency across your cultivation shelves with the SeaHawk Star Light 2 x 55W High-Output T5 Fluorescent Propagation Fixture. Engineered for exceptional structural durability and professional versatility, this self-contained grow light is built to perform in every phase of plant development—from delicate seedling propagation and early vegetative growth to full flowering stages. Standard consumer fluorescent lamps often lack the intensity required for thick, stocky plant growth, leading to weak, elongated stems. The SeaHawk Star Light tackles this issue by matching two heavy-duty 55-Watt linear T5 tubes with a specialized, heavy-gauge steel housing that features a premium powder-coated exterior finish and an integrated hammer-tone aluminum reflector channel. This dimpled reflector design maximizes light distribution, breaking up harsh hotspots and bouncing photons downward at wide, intersecting angles to completely bathe your lower plant canopy in usable light. Operating without the hassle or noise of bulky external ballasts, the unit features an internal solid-state ballast that plugs directly into a standard 240-Volt wall outlet, running cool and quiet over long production days. Measuring a compact 56cm x 24cm x 7cm, this low-profile fixture is fitted with integrated suspension anchor points for effortless overhead hanging, making it an exceptional option for space-restricted multi-tier nursery racks and vertical cloning benches. Complete with an extra-long 2-meter heavy-duty utility power lead and two premium 55-Watt high-lumen T5 lamps, this complete, commercial-ready kit provides immediate plug-and-play operation out of the box.

Best For: High-density seedling and clone benches, multi-tier vertical farming racks, supplemental indoor canopy lighting, and complete plant growth cycles from seed to harvest.

Key Features & Technical Advancements

  • High-Lumen-per-Watt Energy Efficiency: Outfitted with high-output T5 tubes engineered to deliver massive photon counts while maintaining an ultra-low energy footprint.
  • Industrial Powder-Coated Housing: Shielded in a rugged, corrosion-resistant steel body built to easily withstand the high-humidity environments found near propagation domes.
  • Specular Hammer-Tone Reflector Matrix: Utilizes a dimpled aluminum mirror surface that scatters light evenly, eliminating dangerous hotspots and maximizing footprint coverage.
  • Self-Contained Plug-and-Play Architecture: Built with an internal electronic ballast that runs directly off standard wall sockets, cutting out complex wiring or external equipment boxes.
  • Extended 2-Meter Power Lead: Comes equipped with an extra-long, moisture-sealed 2m power cable, giving you plenty of reach to route wires safely around your vertical frames.
  • Integrated Tool-Free Hanging Anchors: Designed with pre-cut structural mounting slots on the chassis, allowing quick, stable hookups with standard hangers or jack chains.

Advanced T5 Nursery Management & Substrate Control Tips

  • Managing Canopy Proximity and Lamp Break-In Cycles: Fresh high-output 55W T5 lamps produce their peak light energy during their first 50 to 100 hours of run time. When hanging the SeaHawk Star Light over unrooted cuttings or delicate seedlings, start with a fixture height of 30cm to 40cm above your tray lids. Once your crops break out of their early rooting phase and enter active vegetative growth, you can lower the fixture down to 15cm to 20cm from the leaves, allowing the hammer-tone reflector to pack down a highly concentrated photon canopy without leaf scorch.
  • Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: The high light intensity produced by a dual 55W setup accelerates plant transpiration and drives rapid root expansion. Support this high-energy growth by setting your starts in specialized starter plugs or breathable fabric nursery pots filled with a light, highly porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Keep your moisture levels flawlessly uniform by feeding your trays with a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump managed by an automated digital shot-timer.
  • Maximizing Multi-Tier Shelf Thermal Control: Because the SeaHawk Star Light features an internal electronic ballast, the top of the steel housing will naturally warm up over long lighting cycles. When stacking these fixtures in a multi-tier shelf layout, ensure there is at least a 5cm air gap between the top of the light housing and the bottom of the wire shelf above it. This air buffer prevents heat from transferring directly into the root zones of the plants sitting on the upper level.
  • Setting Up Safety Drip Loops for High-Humidity Enclosures: Operating high-power fluorescent lights near propagation tents or open seedling trays means managing heavy humidity (75% to 85% RH) and airborne mist. When running the 2-meter power lead from the Star Light frame to your wall outlet, always ensure the cable drops into a loose, shallow U-shape bend right before it reaches the socket. This forms a natural "drip loop"—any ambient room condensation or stray spray tracking down the wire will pool safely at the bottom of the bend and drip to the floor rather than running directly into active electrical terminals.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Commercial Plant Propagation Benches: The premier option for large-scale clone and seedling production, providing the deep penetration needed to push light past tall humidity domes.
  • Compact Multi-Tier Racking Setups: Perfect for vertical indoor farms and boutique nursery spaces that need an ultra-low profile, self-contained lighting solution with a wide footprint.
  • Full-Cycle Small Space Cultivation: An exceptional all-in-one fixture choice for indoor growers who want a single, highly durable light source capable of handling early vegetative growth all the way through to harvest.

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
