Description

The Bucket Company - Run-Off Pump – Automated Wastewater Evacuation System

Eliminate the logistical headache of managing wastewater in low-clearance grow rooms, multi-tier vertical racks, and large scale hydroponic facilities. The Bucket Company Run-Off Pump is an automated, commercial-grade drainage solution engineered to collect and instantly evacuate nutrient runoff from your pots, trays, or drainage tables. Featuring a low-profile 4-litre integrated reservoir, wastewater flows naturally into the unit via gravity. Once the water level rises, an internal mechanical float switch triggers a heavy-duty, energy-efficient 12-volt pump to swiftly move the liquid out of your grow space—either directing it straight to a waste line or transferring it back to a recycling system. Packed with premium safety features, including a built-in backflow prevention valve and an inline filter, this smart pumping hub keeps your cultivation lines running dry, clean, and completely hands-free.

Best For: Low-profile floor drainage where gravity lines cannot reach a main drain, multi-tray manifolds using **The Bucket Company Run-Off Trays**, high-frequency automated fertigation cycles, and commercial vertical farming layouts.

Key Features

  • Automated Demand-Driven Pumping: Features a built-in internal float valve assembly that automatically detects rising wastewater levels within the reservoir. The pump fires up instantly upon fluid entry and shuts off completely once empty, conserving power and running smoothly.
  • Low-Profile 4-Litre Catchment Reservoir: The compact, flat-bottom basin easily fits beneath elevated tables or low-sitting drainage trays, giving you maximum vertical clearance for your plant canopy.
  • Integrated Backflow Prevention Valve: Equipped with a premium internal check valve that stops dirty, pumped wastewater from siphoning backward into the reservoir once the pump cycle finishes, keeping your catchment tank pristine.
  • Proactive Inline Screen Filtration: Features a removable mesh screen filter that intercepts rogue particles of **Coco Coir**, loose perlite, or organic debris before they can reach the pump impeller, preventing internal clogs and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Safe, Low-Voltage 12V Operation: Driven by a low-voltage 12V DC motor powered by an included universal power supply. This ensures maximum electrical safety in wet grow-room environments while keeping power draw to a minimum.
  • All-In-One Plumbing Package: Ships complete with foundational plumbing connectors and fittings, allowing you to quickly couple the unit directly to standard flexible drainage lines or main PVC trunk lines out of the box.

Nursery Layout & Installation Tips

  • Siting the Pumping Hub: Position the Run-Off Pump flat on the lowest point of your grow room floor or beneath your drainage benches. Route the 19mm drain line from your **Bucket Company Run-Off Trays** directly into the intake ports on the top of the pump reservoir, ensuring a clear downward slope for proper gravity flow.
  • Configuring the Discharge Line: Connect flexible tubing to the discharge outlet. Because the integrated 12V pump generates excellent head pressure, you can route the line vertically up walls, across ceilings, or straight out to a high-wall plumbing drain or outdoor storage tank.
  • Routine Screen Cleaning: To maintain optimal fluid velocity and prevent pump stalling, unclip the reservoir lid once every few weeks and slide out the inline screen filter. Rinse away any collected root fibers, fine coco silt, or mineral salt build-up under running water before sliding it back into place.
  • Commercial Manifolding Strategy: In expansive cultivation spaces with high plant counts, chain multiple rows of drainage trays together into a main 19mm trunk line, and dump that entire trunk into a single Run-Off Pump hub to streamline your equipment footprint.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Crop Steering & High-Frequency Feeding: Effortlessly collecting and processing the heavy 10-20% runoff required when pushing crops to their limits with mineral-rich hydroponic feeds.
  • Basement & Tent Grow Rooms: Solving the issue of zero floor drains by allowing you to pump wastewater vertically out of low-grade rooms and into domestic plumbing fixtures.
  • Recirculating Systems: Acting as an automated return hub that captures drain water from your plants and pumps it cleanly back into a primary nutrient reservoir for active closed-loop recycling.

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
