Traditional Hand Sickle - Serrated Picking Knife - 150mm Carbon Steel Blade - Wood Handle
The Traditional Hand Sickle is an essential tool for detailed harvesting and precision trimming in the garden. Featuring a sharply serrated curved picking knife edge, it is highly effective at cleanly slicing through soft stems and tough, fibrous runners with minimal effort. The 150mm blade is constructed from robust carbon steel, ensuring lasting strength and superior edge retention for continuous garden use.
Complementing the high-performance blade is a classic 200mm wooden handle, providing an ergonomic grip and excellent control for repetitive tasks. While it is a versatile tool for harvesting various vegetables and grains, it is particularly favoured by growers for efficiently cutting back strawberry runners. This process prevents overgrowth and diverts energy back to the parent plant, encouraging a more robust harvest and healthier growth cycles.
IMPORTANT REGULATORY NOTICE (VICTORIA):Under the Control of Weapons Regulations 2021 and updated 2025 bladed tool restrictions, sale of this item to Victorian customers is strictly limited to genuine agricultural or horticultural purposes. To process an order for delivery to Victoria, we require:

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
