Treegers - Quantum PAR Meter – Professional Handheld PPFD & DLI Analyzer
Eliminate the guesswork from your indoor cultivation and take absolute command of your light canopy with the Treegers Quantum PAR Meter. Designed as an indispensable tool for precision crop steering, this commercial-grade quantum sensor accurately measures Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) by quantifying Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) across the vital 400 to 700 nanometer (nm) waveband. Whether you are mapping out a commercial multi-bar LED facility or fine-tuning a small boutique grow tent, this handheld analyzer shows you exactly how many usable photons your plants are absorbing in real time. Featuring an integrated logging computer that automatically calculates Daily Light Integral (DLI), the Treegers Quantum PAR Meter gives you the data needed to maximize vegetative growth speeds, prevent light bleach stress, and optimize your overall energy consumption. Built with an independent, extendable remote sensor head, it allows you to take precise, level readings right at the plant canopy without your body blocking the light path or throwing off the data.
Best For: Precision canopy PPFD mapping, calculating accurate Daily Light Integral (DLI) targets, calibrating commercial LED dimming heights, identifying dark spots in grow rooms, and protecting delicate seedlings from light stress.
Key Features & Technical Advancements
- Precision 400–700nm PAR Sensor: Outfitted with a premium optical filter featuring sharp cut-on and cut-off wavelengths at 400nm and 700nm (±10nm). This ensures highly accurate monitoring of the full photosynthetic spectrum while ignoring non-usable light waves.
- Integrated DLI Computational Engine: Automatically tracks and calculates Daily Light Integral (DLI) in moles per square meter per day ($\text{mol/m}^2\text{/day}$). This essential feature lets you confidently manage your plants' total daily photon dosage to hit optimal metabolic sweet spots.
- Dual-Cord Remote Sensor Versatility: Shipped with both a flexible 1.5-meter coiled cord for quick handheld canopy checks and a 3.5-meter straight extension cable. This long-reach setup is perfect for taking measurements inside tall vertical racks or sealed cultivation displays.
- High-Resolution Data Diagnostics: Features an ultra-fine display resolution of 0.1 µmol/m²/sec for low-light readings (0–999) and 1 µmol/m²/sec for high-intensity tracking (1000–3999), backed by a rock-solid repeatability rating of ±1 µmol/m²/sec.
- On-Board 99-Reading Data Logger: Built-in internal memory stores up to 99 individual data logs. This lets you quickly chart minimum, maximum, and average values across your entire grow tables without needing a separate clipboard or computer.
- Rugged Light-Object Architecture: Engineered into an ultra-portable, 115-gram pocket-sized main housing powered by two standard AAA batteries, making it easy to carry around the facility during long daily canopy inspections.

Advanced Crop Steering & Environmental Optimization Tips
- Precision DLI Balancing for Optimal Growth: Daily Light Integral (DLI) measures the total amount of light your plant receives over a 24-hour day. Use the meter to track this metric closely. For vegetative crops like leafy greens or early vegetative herbs, aim for a DLI of 14-17 moles/day. When moving into high-metabolism reproductive stages under intense full-spectrum lighting, increase your targets to 25-30 moles/day to maximize crop development without wasting electricity.
- Root-Zone Hydration and Light Intensity Sync: Pushing your PPFD past 800 µmol/m²/sec significantly increases your crop's water transpiration and nutrient uptake. Balance this high metabolic demand by growing your plants in breathable fabric aeration pots packed with a porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Ensure your root zones stay uniformly supported by connecting your micro-drip emitters to a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump automated on a cyclical shot-timer.
- Eliminating Sensor Shadow Errors: To get perfectly accurate data, always hold the remote optical sensor completely level at the absolute top of your plant canopy. Use the 1.5-meter coiled cord to keep the main display unit away from the sensor head. This prevents your body, arms, or the handheld console from casting subtle shadows over the diffuser lens, ensuring your PPFD data stays clean and true.
- Optical Lens Calibration Protection: The white acrylic diffuser lens on the remote sensor head must remain completely spotless to maintain its factory calibration. Avoid touching the lens with bare fingers, as natural skin oils can discolor over time and alter your readings. After completing your daily room inspections, wipe the sensor head down with a dry, anti-static microfiber cloth and store the unit in its protective case away from extreme heat and moisture.
Ideal For (Uses)
- Commercial Canopy Mapping: An essential diagnostic tool for commercial facility managers who need to map out light grids, adjust fixture hanging profiles, and ensure uniform PPFD distribution across vast rolling benches.
- LED Driver Efficiency Fine-Tuning: Perfect for high-tech growers using modular dimmers or smart controllers, allowing them to dial in exact target light outputs down to the single digit without over-lighting.
- Nursery Propagation Screening: Ideal for nursery staff to verify that delicate tissue cultures, fresh clones, and emerging seedlings are receiving safe, low-intensity light doses (75-150 µmol/m²/sec) to promote healthy early rooting.
Oversized Item Delivery Options
Since oversized items require special handling, we may need to provide a custom freight quote for your order and will contact you with an updated shipping rate.

Important Note on Availability & Shipping
Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.
Lead Times:
- In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
- Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.
While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions
Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:
- Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
- Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).
Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
