• Setting the Flood Level: For most Ebb & Flow setups, aim to have your nutrient level reach approximately 2/3 of the way up the growing medium. Add or remove extensions to achieve this "sweet spot" for maximum oxygen and nutrient uptake.
• Reservoir Drainage: Use an extension in the bottom of a reservoir to ensure a "settling zone." This prevents the pump from sucking up heavy sediment or mineral precipitates that can collect at the very bottom of the tank.
