Description

ULight - 1 Metre Extension Cable – Heavy-Duty Commercial Series Link Cable

Expand the physical reach and structural versatility of your high-density cultivation rows with the ULight 1 Metre Extension Cable. While each ULight Intercanopy LED bar features built-in 30cm connecting tails designed for standard, close-proximity daisy-chaining, commercial facility layouts often demand extra spatial flexibility. Whether you need to bridge wide gaps between plant benches, route cables around heavy structural greenhouse pillars, or skip empty sections along a growing row, this premium 1-metre extension cable provides the exact length required without causing voltage drops or signal degradation. Engineered to slide seamlessly into your existing ULight lighting architecture, it connects inline between the integrated tails of two adjacent fixtures or links directly to your primary ULight Intercanopy Power Lead. Featuring rugged, IP65 moisture-sealed quick-lock couplings, this extension cable is fully hardened against harsh, high-humidity grow room environments, ensuring safe, continuous power delivery across your entire linked network.

Best For: Custom spacing between daisy-chained intercanopy fixtures, routing cables around structural facility supports, bridging gaps between separate greenhouse benches, and managing clean overhead cable lines.

Key Features & Technical Advancements

  • Seamless Inline Modular Reach: Adds a precise 1-metre (1000mm) length extension to your series run, giving installation crews the spatial freedom to customize light placement without cutting or splicing wires.
  • Heavy-Duty Pass-Through Capacity: Engineered with thick, high-gauge internal copper wiring designed to safely handle the full electrical load of up to 18 daisy-chained 100W lights in a single series string.
  • Tool-Free Quick-Lock Couplings: Equipped with industrial-grade male and female connectors that click and lock together securely in seconds, providing a tight fit that won't pull apart under tension.
  • Industrial IP65 Moisture Protection: Wrapped in a heavy, weather-hardened insulation jacket that fully resists intense relative humidity, active overhead water misting, and automated nutrient foliar sprays.
  • Molded Strain Relief Engineering: Built with rugged, over-molded strain relief boots at both connection ends to protect internal wiring from fatigue when lights are raised, lowered, or adjusted.
  • Maintains Low-Voltage Control Signal: Sized and shielded precisely to ensure both AC power and 0-10V dimming data signals pass through smoothly with zero flickering or communication interference.

Advanced Facility Layout & Electrical Management Tips

  • Calculating Voltage Drop Across Extended Series Rows: While these cables are engineered with high-gauge internal conductors to minimize power loss, try to avoid over-using multiple extensions in a single row unless structurally necessary. Keeping your overall cable runs tight ensures optimal power delivery and helps maintain rock-solid dimming signal accuracy from the first light to the 18th fixture.
  • Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: Keeping your extension cords neatly routed keeps your under-canopy floor workspace clean and safe for your feeding systems. Ensure your high-efficiency crop rows receive precise, regular nutrition by potting your plants in breathable fabric aeration pots filled with a porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Manage your wet-dry irrigation cycles flawlessly by connecting your drip lines to a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump run by an automated digital shot-timer.
  • Securing Cables Safely Outside the Plant Canopy: When utilizing extension cables to drop power down from overhead trays into your plant rows, use heavy-duty plastic clips or loose zip-ties to secure the cables along your framing supports. Avoid letting cables drape heavily directly over active plant branches; keeping the wires pinned securely along your rack structure prevents physical crop stress and keeps lines out of your primary walkways.
  • Setting Up Safety Extension Drip Loops: Because these extension cords sit within highly humid growing environments or right between sweating leaf layers, water tracking is a factor. When connecting the extension inline between two fixtures, allow the 1-metre wire to hang with a slight, loose loop downward. This creates a natural "drip loop"—any moisture or foliar spray that collects on the wire will run down to the lowest part of the curve and drip safely to the ground instead of traveling straight into your connection plugs.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Greenhouse Row Bench-to-Bench Jumpering: The perfect modular bridge for jumping power safely across pathways or open spaces separating adjacent plant benches.
  • Custom Spacing in Wide Plant Rows: Ideal for commercial facilities growing wide-set crops or multi-layer canopies that need more than the standard 30cm factory spacing between fixtures.
  • Obstruction Cable Routing: Great for facility installation crews who need to route power lines around corners, vertical support beams, or environmental monitoring gear without straining the connections.
Oversize Item Delivery

Oversized Item Delivery Options

Since oversized items require special handling, we may need to provide a custom freight quote for your order and will contact you with an updated shipping rate.

Available options include:

✔ Delivery to your closest depot for pickup - default method

Let us know your preference, and we'll arrange the best solution for you!

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
