Description

ULight - Intercanopy Power Lead – Heavy-Duty Commercial Series Input Cable

Establish a rock-solid, high-capacity electrical foundation for your high-density cultivation rows with the ULight Intercanopy Power Lead. Engineered as a mandatory commercial-grade connection link, this heavy-duty power lead serves as the primary electrical gateway required to energize an entire daisy-chained line of ULight 100W Intercanopy LED fixtures. Built to meet the demands of large-scale greenhouse grids and indoor vertical farms, a single power lead safely handles the electrical draw for up to 18 individual 100W LED bars connected in series. This streamlined architecture completely eliminates the need for messy multi-outlet extension strips, excessive drop cords, or expensive individual junction boxes above your plant benches. By utilizing the built-in 30cm connecting tails integrated into each intercanopy fixture, power is safely passed from one light to the next down the row. If your specific facility layout or row spacing requires a wider gap between fixtures, this power lead integrates seamlessly with ULight Extension Link Cables to provide additional reach without causing voltage drops. Completely moisture-sealed and weather-hardened to survive high-humidity grow room environments, the ULight Intercanopy Power Lead makes commercial lighting installation clean, rapid, and highly cost-effective.

Best For: Serving as the primary power input cable for commercial greenhouse intercanopy grids, multi-fixture indoor vertical rows, scalable industrial farm layouts, and clean overhead cable management networks.

Key Features & Technical Advancements

  • High-Capacity 18-Fixture Power Gateway: Engineered to safely carry the primary electrical load for up to 18 daisy-chained 100W LED fixtures in series off a single power input, drastically reducing facility wiring infrastructure and installation labor.
  • Seamless Plug-and-Play Integration: Built with heavy-duty, waterproof locking connectors that click directly into the integrated 30cm connecting tails of your first ULight Intercanopy LED bar, creating a secure seal in seconds.
  • Industrial-Grade Moisture Protection: Wrapped in a rugged, heavily insulated weather-proof jacket designed to withstand high relative humidity (RH), active overhead greenhouse misting, and direct contact with nutrient foliar sprays.
  • Modular Spatial Adaptability: Pairs perfectly with ULight Extension Link Cables, giving facility installation crews the freedom to expand the physical spacing between fixtures across wide rows or around structural support pillars without sacrificing power delivery.
  • Heavy-Duty Strain Relief Engineering: Outfitted with robust molded strain-relief boots at the connection points to handle wire tension, preventing accidental disconnects or internal wire fatigue when lights are hung or adjusted between plant rows.
  • Streamlined Cable Infrastructure: Replaces a massive web of individual equipment cords with a single, clean power drop per row, maximizing safety, keeping walkways clear, and making environmental clean-downs much simpler.

Advanced Facility Layout & Electrical Management Tips

  • Precision Amperage Calculation for Series Strings: When planning your greenhouse or indoor facility layout, remember that a single power lead handles a maximum of 18 fixtures. At 240V, an 18-light string draws roughly 7.5 Amps of continuous current. Always make sure your commercial breaker panels and circuit breakers are properly sized to handle these aggregated electrical loads. Leaving a safe 20% electrical overhead buffer on your circuits ensures long-term operational safety and prevents nuisance trips.
  • Root-Zone Hydration and Substrate Coordination: Keeping your lighting strings clean and well-organized helps protect your automated feeding layouts from disruption. Ensure your high-efficiency crop rows receive precise, regular nutrition by potting your plants in breathable fabric aeration pots filled with a porous 70/30 blend of Coco Coir and Horticultural Perlite. Manage your wet-dry irrigation cycles flawlessly by connecting your drip lines to a high-pressure Plont PPH Submersible Pump run by an automated digital shot-timer.
  • Clean Low-Voltage Data and AC Power Routing: When routing your heavy-duty AC power leads and daisy-chained power cables alongside your 0-10V low-voltage automation lines, keep the paths separated. Never zip-tie low-voltage dimming data wires directly parallel to your high-voltage power lines. Always cross your data and power wires at a clean 90-degree angle to block electromagnetic interference (EMI), keeping your centralized automation dimming schedules smooth and free of flickering.
  • Setting Up Safety Input Drip Loops: Because intercanopy lighting setups sit right in the middle of active, sweating plant rows, moisture management is essential. When plugging your main power lead into the first LED fixture in your series, always leave a small drop of slack in the input cable to form a natural "drip loop." If condensation builds up along the line or spray hits the wires, the water will run down to the lowest point of the bend and drip safely to the floor instead of tracking straight into the electrical connection plugs.

Ideal For (Uses)

  • Primary Greenhouse Row Power Delivery: The essential connection cable for setting up long rows of intercanopy lights in high-wire commercial vegetable greenhouses with minimal wiring clutter.
  • Indoor Multi-Fixture Series Configurations: Perfect for indoor facility build-outs that need to supply clean, safe, centralized power to extensive lines of inter-linked canopy lights.
  • High-Density Vertical Farming Build-Outs: An excellent choice for automated facility managers looking to cut down on cluttered extension cords, keeping vertical rack zones highly organized and easy to clean.

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
