Urbalive High Planter 780mm - Scandinavian Self-Watering Designer Pot
The Urbalive High Planter is an exceptionally tall, elegant, and modern planting solution perfect for enhancing premium interiors, commercial foyer spaces, or covered terraces. Conceived by award-winning Czech designer Jiří Pelcl, its unique architectural design embraces a striking Scandinavian aesthetic. It features a beautifully contoured designer pot supported by long, sustainably sourced FSC-certified wooden legs, elevating your plants significantly to a highly comfortable viewing and maintenance height of 780mm.
Built using Plastia's world-class expertise in sub-irrigation technology, this system ensures your indoor plants, flowers, herbs, and small vegetables receive a highly consistent, regulated moisture supply via integrated capillary wicking tapes. Optimised for modern urban living, the clean structural profile integrates seamlessly into living rooms, high-ceilinged offices, or sheltered outdoor entertainment areas as a sophisticated mid-century feature piece. The integrated water reservoir, complete with a visual water level indicator, prevents the common pitfalls of overwatering and root rot while reducing watering intervals down to weeks rather than days.
Best For: Interior designers, corporate facilities managers, and home gardeners seeking an award-winning, stylish statement piece that functions as an accessible Scandinavian designer planter for vining foliage, culinary herbs, or striking indoor floral arrangements.
Key Features:
- Commanding 780mm Elevation Profile: Standing on sturdy structural legs, this designer pot offers effortless, back-friendly standing access while raising your botanical collections to optimal eye-level viewing heights.
- Advanced Capillary Self-Watering System: Utilises a precision-engineered reservoir matrix and wicking tapes to draw moisture evenly into the root zone as required, drastically cutting down on daily watering demands.
- Visual Water Level Indicator: Takes the guesswork out of plant care with a built-in float indicator that clearly displays the internal reservoir volume, preventing accidental underwatering or fatal overwatering.
- Award-Winning Scandinavian Aesthetic: Designed by Jiří Pelcl, the harmonious blend of a sleek, minimalist polymer designer pot and natural timber provides a timeless mid-century look that complements any upscale contemporary interior.
- FSC-Certified Timber Legs: The premium hardwood support legs are sourced entirely from responsibly managed, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests.
- Versatile Crop and Foliage Compatibility: Accommodates an expansive variety of indoor flora, including massive structural Monstera varieties, trailing devil's ivy, compact kitchen herbs, or ornamental patio crops.

Primary Cultivation & Field Applications
- High-Impact Floral & Foliage Showcases: Elevating large or hanging indoor house plants, such as Pothos or Philodendrons, allowing their vining trails to drape elegantly down the timber legs from the designer pot basin.
- Kitchen Herb Micro-Farming: Setting up an ergonomic, waist-height culinary herb station right inside a bright kitchen corner or well-lit dining bay for fresh daily harvesting.
- Zoned Architectural Screening: Arranging multiple high planters in series to establish lush, living privacy partitions or structural acoustic baffles in open-plan offices and residential spaces.
Pro Tip & Sub-Irrigation Water Management: When planting out your Urbalive High Planter for the first time, it is crucial to remember that the self-watering wicking action relies on established root contact. For the initial 4 to 6 weeks, water your new plants traditionally from the top surface to keep the fresh potting mix evenly moist while the root systems grow down to meet the capillary wicking tapes.
Once the roots reach the reservoir threshold, simply monitor the visual float indicator and fill the sub-surface tank via the designated fill port. Always allow the reservoir to dry out completely for a few days between refills to ensure the soil profile undergoes a healthy oxygenation cycle.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.
