*Product on Backorder*

The Opinel Intempora N°226 Serrated Utility Knife is a premium, highly specialized kitchen essential masterfully engineered to slice through soft, delicate ingredients that feature a tough or slick outer skin. Belonging to Opinel's professional-tier Intempora series, this high-performance utility knife features a 10 cm precision-serrated blade that bites instantly into glossy surfaces without slipping or requiring crushing downward pressure. Cold-rolled from modified Sandvik steel and paired with an indestructible, high-resistance polymer handle, the N°226 provides incredible cutting leverage and absolute steering control. Whether you are slicing ripe tomatoes, segmenting fibrous citrus fruits, or halving crusty breakfast rolls, this nimble knife delivers the perfect blend of structural longevity and effortless food preparation.

Best For Home cooks, culinary enthusiasts, and professional chefs seeking a razor-sharp, low-maintenance serrated paring knife that cleanly handles slick-skinned produce, small breads, and delicate pastries without damaging tender interiors.

Key Features

  • Modified Sandvik 12C27M Stainless Steel: Forged from an elite Scandinavian alloy enriched with 14.5% Chromium and 0.52% Carbon, delivering remarkable structural purity, extreme corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention.

  • High-Performance Serrated Edge Geometry: The 10 cm blade profile is ground with a series of precision waves that concentrate cutting force, allowing the edge to pierce tough skins effortlessly while preserving soft flesh underneath.

  • Fibreglass-Reinforced POM Handle: Crafted from high-density polyoxymethylene injected with structural fibreglass, establishing an indestructible handle that offers extreme resistance to thermal shock, heavy impact, and kitchen moisture absorption.

  • Advanced Ergonomic Triangular Grip: Features an intelligently sculpted, curved bolster with a subtle triangular profile that fills the palm securely, naturally stabilizing your hand and reducing wrist strain during repetitive prepping tasks.

  • Seamless Full-Tang Architecture: The high-purity steel blade runs continuously straight through to the base of the handle, establishing an optimal center of gravity that significantly improves physical balance and control.

Pro Tip & Intempora Maintenance: The Intempora N°226 Serrated Knife is designed to withstand the rigorous demands of busy modern kitchens. Thanks to its advanced fibreglass-reinforced POM polymer handle and premium Sandvik stainless steel composition, this knife offers exceptional resistance to water staining and chemical wear. To maintain its razor-sharp factory edge for generations, hand washing is highly recommended. Simply wipe the blade with warm, soapy water after use using a non-scratch sponge, dry completely with a clean towel, and store safely on a magnetic wood strip or inside a slot block. Avoid cutting on hard glass or ceramic surfaces to keep the serrated tips sharp and pristine!

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
