Description

Opinel - N°112 Paring Knife 2PC Set (Natural) – Premium 9.5cm Stainless Steel Beechwood Kitchen Prep Duo

The Opinel N°112 Paring Knife 2PC Set in Natural is a timeless, high-performance kitchen essential designed to bring classic French minimalism and effortless precision to your daily meal preparation. Shorter, lighter, and far more agile than a traditional chef's knife, this masterfully scaled duo is engineered specifically for detailed, intricate, and freehand cutting tasks. Each knife features a razor-sharp 9.5 cm European stainless steel blade that delivers clean, highly accurate slicing paths through both soft fruits and dense vegetables. Beautifully counterbalanced by authentic natural French timber handles, the fine-grained wood is treated with a premium protective clear varnish to safeguard against moisture, warping, and kitchen stains. Serving as the definitive workhorse for peeling, trimming, and fine dicing, this two-piece prep set seamlessly combines rustic heritage charm with reliable daily utility.

Best For Home cooks, minimalist culinary fans, and passionate bakers seeking a highly maneuverable, ultra-sharp set of premium, natural wood-handled French paring knives to manage everyday slicing, peeling, and detailed ingredient prep.

Key Features

  • Agile 9.5 cm High-Precision Blade: Features a perfectly straight, razor-sharp plain edge profile designed for maximum tip control, making it ideal for delicate hulling, scoring, coring, and freehand detail work.

  • Premium Grade European Stainless Steel: Precision-forged from a high-purity martensitic stainless steel alloy that strikes an optimal balance between exceptional structural toughness, superior rust resistance, and easy re-sharpening.

  • Protective Clear-Varnished Handles: Crafted from dense, sustainably sourced European hornbeam wood and sealed with a food-safe protective lacquer coat that defends the timber against water absorption, food juices, and grease.

  • Timeless "Natural" Timber Aesthetic: Showcases the beautiful, organic, light-toned grain patterns of authentic European timber, adding a warm, rustic, and elegant design touch to any kitchen layout.

  • Versatile Prep Workhorse: Smoothly steps in to handle freehand apple peeling, trimming fat caps, slicing delicate mushrooms, or mincing small aromatics like garlic and shallots with flawless consistency.

  • Rapid Slicing of Small Produce: Slicing fresh button mushrooms, cutting garlic cloves into paper-thin wafers, halving cherry tomatoes, or cleanly segmenting fresh citrus fruits for salads.

  • Freehand Fruit and Vegetable Peeling: Comfortably pivoting the short blade around the curves of potatoes, apples, kiwis, and ginger root to peel away skins smoothly with minimal food waste.

  • A Thoughtful Token Gift: The clean minimalist packaging and prestigious French cutlery pedigree make this duo a wonderful housewarming, holiday, or thank-you gift for home cooks and design collectors.

Pro Tip & N°112 Paring Knife Maintenance: To preserve the pristine edge of the premium stainless steel and safeguard the beautiful natural grain of the timber handles, these knives should always be washed by hand. Never place them inside an automatic dishwasher or leave them submerged in a wet sink basin, as high heat and prolonged moisture will swell the natural wood, damage the protective varnish, and dull the fine cutting edge. Simply rinse the blade under warm running water with a soft sponge and mild dish soap immediately after use, then dry thoroughly with a cloth towel before storing them away in your kitchen drawer or organizer box!

Shipping & Lead Times

Important Note on Availability & Shipping

Our warehouse serves as our office and logistics centre rather than a retail showroom. Because we ship from multiple locations and manage high-turnover stock, not all items are available for immediate pickup.

Lead Times:

  • In-Stock Items: Usually ready for dispatch the same day.
  • Supplier-Dependent Items: Usually take 2–8 weeks to arrive, depending on supplier availability. Products from Adloheat may take 8–12 weeks to manufacture—they are made to order in Australia by a small business, and longer lead times reflect the care put into quality.

While we strive for fast delivery, some timelines are subject to supplier availability and are beyond our control. We appreciate your patience as we source the best quality gear for your project.

Biosecurity & Interstate Shipping Restrictions

Due to strict state biosecurity regulations, we are unable to ship some products to certain states and territories:

  • Potting Mixes cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA), the Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS).
  • Seeds cannot be shipped to Western Australia (WA).

Orders placed for these items to restricted states will be cancelled and refunded. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the items being ordered can lawfully be delivered to their state or territory.
