Usage & Performance Tips

• Initial Saturation: While Professor’s Coco is pre-buffered, it is always best practice to "charge" the medium before planting. Saturate the coco with a half-strength nutrient solution containing a high-quality Coco-specific nutrient and a root stimulant.
• Drainage is Key: In hydroponic setups, aim for 10–20% runoff (drain-to-waste) with every feeding. This flushes out any accumulated mineral salts and pulls fresh oxygen into the root zone, maintaining the ideal EC levels within the pot.
• The "Dry Back": Coco should remain moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 2-3cm of the substrate to feel slightly dry before the next irrigation cycle to encourage roots to "search" for water, strengthening the root architecture.
• Pot Selection: For maximum aeration, use Professor’s Coco in fabric aeration pots or air-pots. The increased oxygen exchange combined with the coco’s natural structure will significantly accelerate plant growth rates.
